1. Information We Collect

a) Information you provide directly

  • Account information: name, email address, password, country.
  • Payment information: processed by our PCI-DSS compliant payment processor. We do not see or store full card numbers, CVV, or bank credentials.
  • Content: the text you submit to generate speech and the audio output.
  • Support communications: messages you send to us.

b) Information collected automatically

  • IP address, approximate location, browser type, device type, operating system.
  • Usage data (pages visited, features used, generation counts, timestamps).
  • Cookies and similar technologies for session management and analytics.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To operate and provide the Service (generate speech, deliver audio files).
  • To create and manage your account and billing.
  • To process subscriptions and credit purchases through our payment processor.
  • To provide customer support and respond to your inquiries.
  • To detect fraud, abuse and enforce our Terms of Service.
  • To send service updates, important notices and (with consent) marketing emails.
  • To improve the Service, analyze usage trends and develop new features.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

3. Legal Bases (GDPR)

Where GDPR applies, we process personal data under the following legal bases: performance of a contract, legitimate interests (fraud prevention, service improvement), consent (marketing), and legal obligation (accounting, tax).

When we add or change a subprocessor, we will update this list and, where required by law, notify account holders by email at least 14 days in advance.

5. Data Retention

We keep account data for as long as your account is active, plus a reasonable period afterwards for legal and accounting purposes. Submitted text and generated audio are processed transiently for service delivery and are not retained long-term for training or marketing. Billing records are retained as required by applicable law (typically 7 years).

6. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (including GDPR and CCPA), you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Delete your personal data ("right to erasure").
  • Restrict or object to processing.
  • Receive your data in a portable format.
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
  • Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

6b. California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

  • Delete personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising.
  • Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. To make a Privacy Choices request, email support@kumawat.site with the subject line "Privacy Choices". Authorized agents may submit requests on your behalf with written permission.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management, and optional cookies for analytics. You can control cookies via your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may prevent the Service from working properly.

8. Security

We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including HTTPS/TLS encryption in transit, hashed passwords, access controls and regular security reviews. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we strive to protect your data.

9. International Transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) for international data transfers.

10. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we learn we have collected such data, we will delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice on the Service. The "Effective date" above indicates when the latest version took effect.
